To list, search, rename, move or delete files that already exist in a Drive, Google requires full Drive access. The narrower permission Google offers only covers files an app created itself, which would leave a file manager unable to see anything you already own.
DriveMesh only acts when told to. It does not scan, index or process files in the background, and it never reads the contents of documents — only names, sizes, types, dates and folder locations.
Accounts are connected through Google's own sign-in screen. Access can be revoked at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
DriveMesh is a personal utility built for one person juggling several Drive accounts — a main one, an old one, a couple used purely for storage. It is not a commercial service, is not open to the public, and accepts no sign-ups.
